Making a difference in our communities
We believe that ‘church’ is what we do in our communities and in the world. Together we impact the community as the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus. Join us in making a difference.
HopeKids believes that giving children with life threatenting illnesses fun activites helps build strength and a willingness to fight for healing. We provide a wood craft build once a month. You’ll love the smiles and the pride the children take in their projects. We’ve built birdhouses, checkerboard sets, bi-planes, tool boxes, monster trucks, sailboats, helicopters and more. Builds are on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12. We meet alternately in Glendale and Tempe. Watch our calendar or call Nenos, 602-460-6817.
Kid’s Cafe – We pack children’s lunches, 7:00 a.m. (2 hours) on Mondays.
Pack and Sort – We sort food and pack boxes, 9:00 a.m. (2-3 hrs) the second Wednesday of each month.

We participate with Peoria Pride, a neighborhood revitalization program, during the cooler months. Peoria identifies neighborhoods where homeowners are unable physically or financially to take care of their homes. The city provides the materials and volunteers give the homes a facelift. Work often includes painting and spreading gravel in the yard.
We provide gift bags for children in the Avondale Headstart, and yes, that brings out tons of smiles!
